The exhibit was great collaboration among avid riders and enthusiasts of all things cycling. David's connections with the motorcycle community garnered some wonderful examples from the period. Rob brings years of antique vehicle picking (American Pickers calls him for the local scoop) and a passion for all things motorized with a specialty in mopeds and motor scooters. I focused on the overall design and lifestyle content. I framed the narrative of the British Bank Holiday Riots of the 1960's from the American perspective. American biker culture and African American jazz and Soul music are influences that aging Mods and Rockers frequently reference. We connect to those influences that reached back across the pond cementing the Rocker vibe among American riders and the British Invasion of music and style of the Mods.
